Deighton has a wonderful writing style and this is a really fun book to read, over 60 years after it was originally published.The voice of the unnamed narrator is pitch-perfect 1960s snark, the dialog crackles, and the descriptive passages are vivid. He's a great writer. A couple of examples:"His face was 11 am November 11th.""Capitalism is the exploitation of man by man, right? Well, communism is exactly the reverse."Great fun.
