I was in need of a bathroom cabinet that had doors on it rather than being exposed like on a shelf. The first thing I did was go to a Swedish store near me, where they sell furniture that needs to be assembled, but they did not have what I wanted. I then turned to online shopping, and found this piece of furniture.First of all, I will say that I enjoy assembling furniture. If you do not like the process, you may want to look for something fully assembled. This item comes in one box, but not one bit of it is attached to another. (aside from the glass already being inlaid in the upper doors.) I laid everything out, and was very pleased to discover that all of the pieces are labeled with numbers, and all of the hardware is labeled with letters. That's not something I've ever seen at my favorite Swedish store.This is not a quick process. I was very methodical, as I've learned that slow and steady is the way to go. This took me a bit over two hours working by myself. I only used a screwdriver instead of a drill, because I didn't want to over tighten anything that I may have needed to undo later. I was happy that every single screw used the same screwdriver, which made the job easier.The directions are very basic. The only parts I got hung up on were which way to face the magnet, and how to attach the hinges. They aren't shown up close, which they should have been. I have included an up close picture of how the hinge fits on the door, so hopefully the next person won't have the same trouble I did.The hardest part for me was attaching the door to the frame. I wasn't sure if it would be easier to put the hinge on the frame first, and then screw it to the door, or vice versa. Turns out, you're better off putting the hinge on the door first, then attaching it to the frame, especially if you are doing it without a helper. The difficult part of that order was seeing what I was doing, because it was a bit shaded in there. I used my duck nightlight to light up the inside while I worked with that tiny screw. You may not be lucky enough to have a duck nightlight, but you will need a light source.When I thought I was done, I realized that there were little plastic triangles that fit into the back of the unit. I assume those are to keep the backing from popping out if the unit gets overstuffed. Another great feature not found at my favorite Swedish store.I do have a scattered assortment of hardware left, but I know I didn't miss any steps. They must like to be generous, in case you need extra.Overall, I am extremely happy with this item. The price was right, the quality is great, and the finished product is very attractive.In the end, I'm very happy with the quality and look of the product. It holds everything it needs to hold and looks great in my small bathroom.
