I pick my office furniture by weight. More weight = better construction. Less weight = sawdust board and cheap hardware. This file cabinet was one of the heaviest I could find. It was not disappointment -- solid, smooth drawers, attractive.I bought a Hon lateral file that weighed 60 lbs. more previously and was very impressed. Cheaper units are cheaper, but more expensive units aren't necessarily built better. It's not a great price, but for what it delivers I am satisfied.
